So since I am going to continue here is a quick refresher

Chapter one

School for the Lost

Emma jolted up. Where was she? The only thing she remembered was leaving a Victorian Mansion at dark. She looked around. All she could see were tall lush trees. She got up. Her mouth watered, but she ignored it. About two feet away from her was a brown pack that blended in perfectly with the flaky dirt. She grabbed it searching for water. Instead she found a notebook, a pen, and a map. She sighed. There were no signs of water just an never ending row of trees. The sun was rising and she looked down at herself. She had a short pixie cut and her T-Shirt was ripping, her jeans were nearly falling apart. She looked closer at her surroundings. The forest was quiet and she dared to venture further. She saw a shining river six feet ahead. She tried to run, but her legs almost gave out. She would get to the water soon she thought. Slowly she walked down to the river.  She just needed to purify the water. What would she need? She took out the notebook and pen. She wrote down water bottle, coffee filter, plastic cup. She grimaced, she could remember the materials to make a water filter, but not why she was here. She closed her eyes and tried to remember who she was. She saw herself in a huge backyard drawing a flower. When she opened her eyes she saw a empty water bottle, a coffee filter, and a plastic cup! What! She was astonished! Those where the things she wrote down. It was like the fairytales she had read when she was younger. She examined the notebook. It had a leather binding and crisp white pages. Her eyes darted to the very middle. In small lettering it said, "Only use in Life or death situations." Maybe the notebook was really magical! She wrote down candy. Nothing suddenly appeared. She sighed it was as she guesses, the notebook could only be used if really needed. She started getting to work on the water filter. She smashed the end of the water bottle and carefully ripped the end off. Next she screwed on the cap of the water bottle extra tight and poked a hole in the cap with a sharp stick. She took the coffee filter and gingerly put it in the bottle. She took some dirt and filled it up about 2 inches. Next she picked out small pebbles and placed them in and then picked larger pebbles and placed them in. Finally, she put the cup under her finished filter. With her hands she scooped the water into the filter. About 2 or three minutes later she was done. She drank the water gingerly. By now the sun was fully up and it was morning. The odd thing was she hadn't seen any animals. Her mouth watered, but this time for food. Another flashback came. She was a little girl about maybe 5 and she was passing a Wet market. A women killed a fish and put it in a pan. The scene shifted. She was sitting down at a large table. There were dozens of chairs even though only three people were seated. A server came and placed a large turkey on the table. The server cut it for the girl and she pushed the plate away and refused it. Emma's gasped the little girl at the table was herself. She tried to piece together the few flashbacks she had. Although it wasn't much she put together this much. She grew up rich and she ran away from home. She sighed right now what she really needed now was food. Her mind had one thought the Hunger Games. She chuckled. She started scouting the forest for any sort of food. Only a few minutes later she found a bush filled with berries. Her mind went back to the Hunger Game thought and for a moment she considered that the berry was poisoned. She put it in her mouth and slowly and carefully chewed. The flavor bursted into her mouth. She leaned back on the tree and ate. She was careful to pace herself because the last thing she wanted was a cramp. As she started walking again she noticed odd shapes engraved on the ground. She was so absorbed in the patterns on the ground she didn't notice the log in front of her. She tripped. Her ripped jeans didn't offer any protection and her knees were badly scraped. She took the leaves in front of her and poured her little water on it. She dabbed the wet leaf on her knees and slowly kept walking. At that moment she saw a tall lean figure come out from behind the tree.

So that's it I'll post chapter two asap
