Zadie's World

 Hey! It's Zadie here after about 4 months of not posting. I'm here to finally and formally say good bye to Zadie's World. I started Zadie's world about a year ago when the pandemic started as a way to channel all my energy into writing. This in a way was life changing because ever since writing has been HUGE and ever since I've been writing poetry and *humble brag* I even won contests with it. So why are you saying good bye you may ask? Well I'm saying bye because I feel like the era of my writing and reviewing is kind of over and I've moved on to a new era of writing and reviewing. I do want to thank anyone who is reading this for supporting me through and through <3 <3 Ily all so much and have an amazing day -Zadie

  Merry Belated Christmas and Holidays everyone.  (Quick disclaimer this is pretty much a big long rant about my life) Hope everyone had a great Christmas and enjoying winter break. My christmas was pretty boring but I got a record player and some twinkle lights. How was your Christmas?   Hey everyone! I have a very important announcement! Now for a couple of days me and my friends have been working on a collaborative blog and we are finally ready to share it (the link to the blog will be at the end of this post). We use pen names to protect our privacy, but I can tell you guys that my pen name is Raven. We will write about books (you can go check out the what we're reading section) and we also do short stories and other things. Top 10 Bts Songs So after some inspiration from a friend here are my top 10 BTS Songs. If your not a fan of Bts you can just skip the post.  Just a little back round info BTS is a K-pop group made out of 7 members (my bias is J-Hope).  10) All Night.  This is one of the most unique BTS songs and one of my brothers favorites. It was kind of a jazz like song and we all loved Juice Wrld on the track (May he rest in peace). I realized I haven't posted a list in a while and I've watched a lot of tv during quarantine (who hasn't) so here we are.  SO I may deny this later, but this (for now) is like the ULTIMATE top 10 for me.  10) Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt  Sure it's a little silly, but that's what we love about it! Kimmy's been trapped in apocalypse bunker since she was a little girl so when they are busted out the world is so new to Kimmy and she knows exactly what she wants to do, move to New York. With the help of her roommate Titus, her landlord Lillian, and her new boss Jacqueline she navigates New York and struggles to adjusts to a world filled with so many possibilities. This was not in description of the mission. Jake and Ashlyn just laughed like she was making a joke. Again this wasn't the craziest thing that happened this week. So far she'd woke up in the woods knowing very little about who she was and why she was there. She got shot by a dart only to wake up in another weird place. Then she learned about the School for the Lost and got recruited into a main field team. After that she trained for two days and suddenly she was qualified to chase down random people who may or may not be crazy or deadly.  She was currently on a helicopter about to land in Tokyo Japan and go chase down someone names Lisa Choke. They literally were chasing down a random lady, and all they knew about her was her name and that she was somewhere in Asia. Bi...

 School for the lost  So since I am going to continue here is a quick refresher  Chapter one School for the Lost Emma jolted up. Where was she? The only thing she remembered was leaving a Victorian Mansion at dark. She looked around. All she could see were tall lush trees. She got up. Her mouth watered, but she ignored it. About two feet away from her was a brown pack that blended in perfectly with the flaky dirt. She grabbed it searching for water. Instead she found a notebook, a pen, and a map. She sighed. There were no signs of water just an never ending row of trees. The sun was rising and she looked down at herself. She had a short pixie cut and her T-Shirt was ripping, her jeans were nearly falling apart. She looked closer at her surroundings. The forest was quiet and she dared to venture further. She saw a shining river six feet ahead. She tried to run, but her legs almost gave out. She would get to the water soon she thought. Slowly she walked down to the river....

  As you probably know the vmas were yesterday. Here are 5 hits and misses for those of you who didn't watch it Hit: Lady Gaga's masks  WOW!!!! Lady Gaga's mask were stunning. They should of won the awards.   My personal favorite Miss: Miley Cyrus' performance. ALL OF IT. I mean seriously kids are watching this!  Hit: BTS's performance. I think we can all agree BTS rocked the show with Dynamite.  Miss: Koby Bryant!! Why did they leave Koby out of the memorial!!! Ok so my first short story dare was about a Possum who plays the trumpet. Feel free to comment more dares. Nico this is the craziest story I've ever written here it goes.  Petunia wanted to be a normal possum. A possum with normal sized eyes who could climb trees, but of course she was born with huge eyes and was terrible at climbing trees. Instead she could play the trumpet, that's right the trumpet. Now at this point your probably wondering how a possum could play a trumpet. Well it took two people to play the trumpet. One to blow into the silver lined spout and the other to press the three gold keys on top. Her and her friend Lela would meet every other day and play together. Lela's slightly larger than the ordinary cheeks were good for blowing into the trumpet and Petunia was very quick. Her paws swiftly changed hopping from left to right. Since we're all stuck at home there has been so much time to read books! Here are the best books I've read during quarantine  The Hate U Give!  Oh my goodness this book is the perfect book to read right now. With the tragic death of George Floyd and it's after math this book is perfect to read right now. This book is explicit and does have some adult concepts, but is still is a great book!  Artemis Fowl I recently read this Book with my book club. You never want to leave the world of fairies, leprechauns, and goblins. The new movie is coming out next Friday! Magnus Chase I did a review about this earlier. (hehe) I love this book series so much. I could not stop reading it. I just want to jump into the world of Magnus, Samirah, and Alex! Emma  This is a timeless classic one of Jane Austen's best. Emma thinks she is a great match maker for couples, but Emma's couples don't seem to work out, at all. This hilarious comedy about finding love is a great read for any d...

For now thought here are some ways to help people out...  -Wave and smile! It may seem like a very simple gesture, but I know someone smiling and waving makes my day.  -Video chat with people. Now since we are all home we can't see anyone face to face, but we can still video chat with them. -Send postcards or care packages. Right now there are a lot of people who are struggling. By sending post cards or care packages you are reminding them that somebody cares about them and we're all in this together.  -Volunteer! Maybe try volunteering at a local soup kitchen or run errands for people who can't do it themselves -Support front line workers.
